what is MEDMUN ?

The Mediterranean Model United Nations (MEDMUN) is an annual conference that brings together 500 students for three days of immersion in the world of diplomacy.

During this event, high school and university students from all over the world simulate UN debates by representing a country's delegation in several UN bodies.

  • I've had the opportunity to travel extensively and attend MUNs all over the world. MUNs all over the world and yet, in a way, MEDMUN is unique. It may be the location, the people, or the debates, but it's been above and beyond my expectations and for two years running. Over the four days of the conference conference, delegates and committee chairmen have the opportunity to to get to know each other in a way that no other MUN can offer.

Skander Fourati, Tunisian student at Harvard University, MEDMUN 2018 Delegate and MEDMUN 2019 Committee Chairman

  • Taking part in MEDMUN was an unforgettable experience that convinced me to apply to Sciences Po. The fervor of a fierce debate, the adrenalin of an intense crisis, the constant entertainment... I believe these ingredients are what that set MEDMUN apart from any other conference I've attended.

Myriam Limam, Tunisian student at Sciences Po Paris, MEDMUN 2018 Delegate, MEDMUN 2019 Committee Chair and Coordinator of Committee for MEDMUN 2020

  • MEDMUN is the first conference to be organized by the various Sciences Po Paris campuses. The quality and depth of the debate during this conference on themes past and present are unmatched by any other conference in France, leaving space for the simulation of a rigorous political debate with an encouraging context that encourages people to want to learn more and to seize the opportunity for personal development.
