Eleni Dimitropoulou

Head of English Committees

Eleni Dimitropoulou, an 18-year-old political science student from Greece, studies at Sciences Po Menton and has spent five years actively participating in Model United Nations (MUN) conferences. Having attended 20 MUNs as a delegate and chair, she has developed strong diplomatic skills and a deep understanding of global governance. Fluent in five languages, Eleni is particularly passionate about human rights, with a focus on how political decisions impact vulnerable populations. Her political awareness was shaped by Greece’s involvement in major geopolitical events in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, especially the Syrian Civil War and the resulting refugee crisis. Seeing firsthand the mass influx of refugees and the strain it placed on her country inspired her commitment to understanding international migration. Additionally, Greece’s financial crisis heightened her interest in the intersection of economics and human rights. As co-head of English committees at MEDMUN, she is excited to guide debates on these issues, emphasizing compassion and international law.
